Things I swore I would never do.

Things I swore I would never do as a parent........I would see parents dress their babies up in certain ways and I swore when I had a baby I would never do. Such as... head bands with bows on them, shoes when they don't even walk and hats with enormous size flowers. So much for swearing. I will for now on understand all parents when they do these silly things to their child. It's seems so ridiculous until it's your own child then it becomes the most adorable thing in the world. Hence the hat with the enormous size flower. Oh, I have a head band too... pictures to follow at a later date.

I can't believe how this little person can be so adorable!

I'm glad she looks like Dana. Adorable!

It's the little things..... CarSeats have magical powers

So it's just crazy how car seats seem to work. You can have a kicking, screaming upset baby, but once you put her in the car seat it's "lights out"! So tonight Dana had to work late, so Piper and I decided to make a trip up to midtown Tulsa to visit with Grandpa. For those who don't know, a trip from our house (south Tulsa) to Grandpa's (Midtown) it's about a 25 minute drive on the bumpiest, pot hole filled road i have ever been on. Before having Piper, i always would curse our city mayor for letting the roads get this bad. However now, it feels like a godsend. the bumpier the better. :) car seats are AMAZING!

Piper had a friend visit this week. Ryken from Reno, Nevada and his mom Amy visited. Amy is my best friend from when we were babies. I posted a pic of Amy and I when we were 6 years old. We loved each other so much as you can tell from the pic. Ryken and Piper had fun laying and sitting together and even held hands (sort of). Being only a week and a half a part I am sure we will have many more pictures of them in the years to come.

Piper has turned 2 months old! The time has flown by. She is much more active now and makes lots of coo's, which I love. Her favorite things are her play gym, pink binky (from Aunt Amanda), and her swing. Monday is her 2 month check up at the Doc's. We look forward to see how much she weighs.

BACK TO WORK

Well I just finished my first week back to work. I have to admit after being off work for 6 weeks I was actually excited to go back to work. Excited to get dressed up, put on make-up and talk to adults. "People" would tell me how hard it would be to drop off Piper at the day care, that I would cry, that I would probably ditch out on work early because I wouldnt be able to take anymore. Well that never happened. She was a sleep when I droped her off, so it was okay. I visited her on my break and again she was sleeping. I got home that evening and yet again she was sleeping. So it was okay. As I was saying, I was excited to go back to work but as the week went on, less and less, and now that I have finished my first week I am ready for another 6 weeks off. I do enjoy my job but more than that I enjoy snuggling with my baby girl.

The things we do for money........is it worth it?

My Promise

It always seems that the next great idea is always around the corner.......

I'm going to start going to the gym.
I'm going to clean out the garage.
I'm going to sell that old stuff i don't need anymore.
I'm going to think about a future.
I'm going to start a budget.

I'm going, going, going to think about stuff and then avoid i said it like the plague.

I really hope i don't do that with this blog, but my promise is to update this blog as life unfolds in our lives.........

Will you please support my promise?

Nick
